By joining the PTA, you are creating a voice for all Kerr children...

The PTA works with school administration and staff, community leaders, and other parents on behalf of our kids. Being involved in your child's school matters and it makes a difference! Join us on this journey.

Your membership and donations support:

Academic Programs for all students at Kerr - Art, STEM, Health, etc.
Fun Family Events - FunFest, Fall Family Night, Game Nights, etc.
School support - Author Visits, Software Subscriptions, Classroom support/needs, Student needs
Veteran's Day Celebration, World Culture Share, 6th Grade Graduation
Teacher Appreciation Events
Fall & Spring Book Fairs
School Supplies, Grade Level T-shirts, Spirit Wear
And so much more!

Memberships are $10.00 per person
($5.50 stays at Kerr, $2.25 goes to State PTA & $2.25 goes to National PTA)

ATTN: Kerr Elementary PTA Memberships for the 2024-2025 Academic Year will increase to $10.50. This increase was approved by Membership on November 14, 2023 in order to include the increased TX PTA dues ($2.75).

Why join Kerr PTA?

Your membership supports not only your own child, but also strengthens the larger community of Texans interested in advocating for public education for all children in our State. Collectively, our Texas PTA is the largest child advocacy grassroots association in Texas with over 500,000 members including parents, teachers and community members who have a special interest in our children, families and schools. Research shows that children whose parents get involved generally do better academically and socially in school. Do it for the kids!

Joining the PTA also grants you access to the Member Directory with the PTA membership toolkit website. If a family has opted in to share information, parents can view emails and contact information for their student's classmates.

If I join, do I Need to?

Go to meetings?
PTA Members and guests are welcome to attend our general meetings (September, November, March, April). Attendance is not required, but encouraged!
Volunteer or spend a lot of time at school?

Joining the PTA is not the same as volunteering. If you choose to volunteer we would LOVE the help—but volunteering is not required.

Who can join PTA?

Anyone can join! PTA members are parents (mom and dad should both join!), teachers, staff, grandparents and community members.
