* Kerr Elementary would like to recognize and salute the special veterans in our lives. On Tuesday, November 11th, we will be hosting a special day with a flag raising ceremony conducted by the AHS ROTC Cadets or the Kerr Elementary Cub Scouts, an assembly, a parade through our hallways of the school, and a reception for any veteran who can attend with a student courtesy of the Kerr PTA.

- The flag raising ceremony will take place at the front flag pole at 7:45 A.M.

- At 8:00 A.M. we will begin our assembly in the gym for our special guests and the Kerr student body. Space will be reserved in the gym for our student body, staff, and veterans.

- After the assembly we will continue to honor our veterans with a parade through the building. We welcome families of veterans to find a place in our hallway to honor our veterans by attending the parade.

- Following the parade, a reception with food and drinks will be held to celebrate our veterans with their families.

If your special veteran is able to attend, please return the information sheet to your child's homeroom teacher by Wednesday, November 6th. If you have a photo of your veteran and would like it to be used during the celebration, please send a 4 X 6 photo of your Veteran to Ms. Wright at demetrial.wright@allenisd.org by November 6th. Veterans and their students will be welcomed at the front desk the morning of November 11th to sign in as our very special guests.
