The Galaxy Press is the free newsletter for the Kerr Elementary PTA. The newsletter contains articles about ongoing and upcoming PTA events, reminders, and news from our school. Do you have a student joining Kerr as a Kindergartener next year? If so, join the new FB parent led group to meet other kindergarten families! Please spread the news to anyone else that you know joining our Kerr family.

We continue our efforts to keep Allen & Kerr Beautiful through adopting our local neighborhood street to clean up around. We will have our third event on Monday, February 24th from 3-4pm! All parents, students, and teachers who would like to participate need to complete the one-time mandatory Safety Training that will be held before our event date.  Please sign-up using the link provided. Allen Eagle Run registration now $30 now until March 6^th at midnight. Event is Saturday, March 8^th so there is still time to join all the fun and get the family active & healthy!

Joining PTA supports academic programs, family events and so much more! The PTA works with school administration and staff, community leaders, and other parents on behalf of our kids. Being involved in your child's school matters and it makes a difference! Join us on this journey. 

BONUS! Did you know that becoming a PTA member also grants you access to our member directory? If a family has opted in to share information, parents can view emails and contact information for their student's classmates. A great way to organize playdates and fun with your student's friends!

In order to volunteer on any Allen ISD campus including chaperoning field trips, you must receive a cleared background check from AISD. Please follow the link to complete this as soon as possible if you haven't done so already!

Don't miss an important event or school annoucement! Subscribe to our PTA calendar for flawless integration into your Google calendar or iCal. It's easy to do - just visit our website and go to My Account>Calendar Subscriptions. Select the calendars you'd like to subscribe to - PTA events like movie nights, bookfair and funfest will automatically update to your calendar. You can also subscribe to the school calendar to update your calendar with school holidays, parent/teacher conferences, etc!
