Join us on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 5:00-6:00PM for our annual “Dads and Kids’ Pizza Night! Come and learn about Kerr’s WATCH D.O.G.S® (Dads of Great Students) Program. WATCH D.O.G.S® is an innovative program being used by schools across America to positively impact students’ lives through committed involvement of fathers and father-figures on the school campus.Our goal is to have you spend at least one day this year at the school to be a positive male role model and provide an extra set of eyes and ears. Dads, granddads, uncles, step-dads, and adult brothers... this is your chance to have a night out alone with your student in a fun atmosphere at school.

Kerr PTA and Kerr Elementary are excited to partner for our annual Spelling Bee on Tuesday, December 2nd from 6-7:30pm. As an officially enrolled school with the Scripps National Spelling Bee, the Kerr Spelling Bee is an exciting tradition and a wonderful opportunity for our student spellers to compete on the local and possibly national level.

Want to help out each week, however you don't know what you could do? We have the perfect solution. We are looking for parents to help make copies for the teachers. This simple act makes a BIG difference. Come make copies for 30 minutes or stay a bit longer. We will take any support you are able to give. If you have questions or would like more information, please reach out to julie.spielman@allenisd.org and she will find a time to get you trained.

Joining PTA supports academic programs, family events and so much more! The PTA works with school administration and staff, community leaders, and other parents on behalf of our kids. Being involved in your child's school matters and it makes a difference! Join us on this journey. 

BONUS! Did you know that becoming a PTA member also grants you access to our member directory? If a family has opted in to share information, parents can view emails and contact information for their student's classmates. A great way to organize playdates and fun with your student's friends!

MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY

In order to volunteer on any Allen ISD campus including chaperoning field trips, you must receive a cleared background check from AISD. This must be done once a year, and each cleared background check runs from July to the following June. Please follow the link to complete this as soon as possible if you haven't done so already! 

We are excited to announce that our Kerr PTA members can receive a 10% discount at Mathnasium in Allen!!! Mathnasium has worked with Kerr PTA for years to make our STEAM nights a success! We are excited for this opportunity for our Kerr PTA families!

Don't miss an important event or school annoucement! Subscribe to our PTA calendar for flawless integration into your Google calendar or iCal. It's easy to do - just visit our website and go to My Account>Calendar Subscriptions. Select the calendars you'd like to subscribe to - PTA events like movie nights, bookfair and funfest will automatically update to your calendar. You can also subscribe to the school calendar to update your calendar with school holidays, parent/teacher conferences, etc!
