The Galaxy Press is the free newsletter for the Kerr Elementary PTA. The newsletter contains articles about ongoing and upcoming PTA events, reminders, and news from our school. Thank you to all of our students, faculty, staff, and families that helped us during our annual fund PTA fund raiser. The funds we raise at the beginning of the year set our budget for what we are able to bring to our Kerr community.  

Our financial goal to provide the plans for the entire year was $30,000. Together our community was able to raise $26,802! Part of this campaign also invited student to complete and log acts of kindness. Our campus goal was 1,500 acts of kindness. Our students greatly exceeded this goal with a total of 1,769 total acts of kindness!! We are so proud of the work our students put in to show kindness to our community!

Our PTA board is working to figure out our next steps concerning how to fund the items not covered in the difference while still bringing quality engagement programs to our students and families.

We will continue to have an open donation option available on our website for those that were unable to donate during the fundraiser but still wanted to support PTA and help us reach our goal for the year. You don't have to be a member to benefit from what PTA brings to campus but our members make the difference in what we are able to organize for everyone! 

We would like to send a special thank you to our PTA members that make everything we do to support Kerr and our community a possibility!

Bring your own dinner or purchase something from La Gran Empanada food truck! We would love volunteers to help make this event a success.

We invite Kerr students to join us at 5:30pm in the Library for Pajama reading with Allen PALS! Parents/guardians, please attend our PTA meeting from 5:45pm-6:15pm in the Kerr Cafeteria. You students will rejoin you in the Kerr Cafeteria at 6:15pm for cookies and a very special story time with Mrs. 'Happy' Halpin!

PTA has some AMAZING in-school STEM programs planned for our Kerr Comets! These type of programs are only made possible through fundraising from our community! These things can’t happen without YOUR support. 

Through our Raise Craze campaign, we fund our entire YEAR. We have raised an incredible $26,792 out of $30,000 needed for the year and completed 1,769 Acts of Kindness. Thank you to all our Kerr Comets and families!
