The Galaxy Press is the free newsletter for the Kerr Elementary PTA. The newsletter contains articles about ongoing and upcoming PTA events, reminders, and news from our school. Join us for an exciting NEW type of book fair. We are hosting a Discovery Fair through Scholastic! Students will be able to shop at school February 23rd - 27th but our online book fair is open NOW!

We have MANY volunteer opportunities available throughout the year. Be sure to check our website and follow us on social media (Instagram and Facebook) so you don't miss out on anything! 

Want to help out each week, however you don't know what you could do? We have the perfect solution. We are looking for parents to help make copies for the teachers. This simple act makes a BIG difference. Come make copies for 30 minutes or stay a bit longer. We will take any support you are able to give. If you have questions or would like more information, please reach out to julie.spielman@allenisd.org and she will find a time to get you trained.

Joining PTA supports academic programs, family events and so much more! The PTA works with school administration and staff, community leaders, and other parents on behalf of our kids. Being involved in your child's school matters and it makes a difference! Join us on this journey. 

BONUS! Did you know that becoming a PTA member also grants you access to our member directory? If a family has opted in to share information, parents can view emails and contact information for their student's classmates. A great way to organize playdates and fun with your student's friends!

Don't miss an important event or school annoucement! Subscribe to our PTA calendar for flawless integration into your Google calendar or iCal. It's easy to do - just visit our website and go to My Account>Calendar Subscriptions. Select the calendars you'd like to subscribe to - PTA events like movie nights, bookfair and funfest will automatically update to your calendar. You can also subscribe to the school calendar to update your calendar with school holidays, parent/teacher conferences, etc!
