18th Galaxy Press of 2023-2024

The Galaxy Press is the free newsletter for the Kerr Elementary PTA. The newsletter contains articles about ongoing and upcoming PTA events, reminders, and news from our school. Be sure to create an account on our PTA website to ensure you automatically receive the Galaxy Press Newsletter! The Galaxy Press is published on Thursdays, on a bi-weekly schedule (unless there is a holiday). Be sure to scroll all the way through for important information and exciting events!

Lifetime Membership Awards

Congratulations to our PTA Lifetime Membership Award winners! We appreciate you and all you do for our school!

AISD Used Book Fair Collection

Thank you to our Kerr community for working so hard to collect, sort, and box up 4,266 used books for the upcoming Allen ISD Council of PTAs Used Book Fair! Together we do amazing things!

Although Kerr is no longer accepting donations, please free free to donate your gently used books at all the dropoff locations in Allen (see flyer below).

Upcoming Events

Kerr SUPER Fun Fest April 6th

Super FunFest is finally here!! Come join us this SATURDAY. Entry tickets are available at the gate. Everyone (4+) attending is required to have an entry wristband. Meal tickets were available in advance. There are a very LIMITED number of tickets that will be available at the entrance. Once those are sold out, we will not have additional food tickets.

Lots of fun awaits including bounce houses, obstacle courses, slides and more!

In-N-Out Food tickets (purchased in advance).

Tickets can still be purchased at the entrance to FunFest. The class with the MOST tickets purchased will have a silly string celebration with Ms. Halpin!

VOLUNTEER SIGNUP: All volunteers will receive ONE Free entry and meal ticket.

Walk, Bike & Roll to School May 8th

Kerr Elementary is participating in Walk & Bike to School Day on morning of Wednesday, May 8th! We encourage all students and families to join!

Kerr PTA Mathnasium Discount!

We are excited to announce that our Kerr PTA members can receive a 10% discount at Mathnasium in Allen!!! Mathnasium has worked with Kerr PTA for years to make our STEAM nights a success! We are excited for this opportunity for our Kerr PTA families!

*We are currently in need of additional copy helpers for our wonderful teachers! Copy helpers do not need to make copies for their child's grade level, they can make them for other grades as well.
