Feb. 6, 2020 | Love Week: February 10-14
Allen ISD’s 39 annual Love Week is Feb. 10-14. This year’s recipients are the Kirby Family and EXPOW. Watch this video for information about the recipients. Kerr Elementary will have a donation box at the front desk to collect $1.00 bills during Love Week. If you feel so inclined to donate we greatly appreciate any support you are able to give. Guest Author/Illustrator: Jeff MackAuthor/Illustrator Jeff Mack is coming to Kerr on Feb. 11!  Mr. Mack will read to the students, talk to them about the writing and illustrating process, and even give them a lesson in drawing! If your child would like to have a book signed by the author, please bring a purchased copy of one of Jeff Mack’s books to the library with a note stating to whom the book will be signed and the student’s grade level and teacher. Books will need to be brought to the library no later than Feb. 10. For a complete list of Mr. Mack’s work, please visit jeffmack.com. His books can be found on Amazon or at your local book store.Comet Shuffle: February 7The Comet Shuffle is TOMORROW NIGHT - Friday, Feb. 7 from 7-9pm in the Kerr gym. Advance sale tickets are $4.00 and can be purchased online only through Thursday, Feb. 6. Tickets will also be sold at the door the for $5.00! All students must be accompanied by an adult and everyone entering the dance must have a ticket! Kerr Spirit Shop is Open for Business

Thank you in advance for working together to keep our Kerr Community safe! Book Fair is Coming to Kerr Mark your calendar for our Spring Book Fair, February 24-28! Volunteers will be needed throughout the book fair to help with set-up, purchasing and tear-down. Please consider giving your time to help encourage a love of reading for all our Kerr Comets. Register for the Allen Eagle RunThe Allen Eagle Run will be held Feb. 29 at Eagle Stadium!Register online for only $25 until midnight Feb. 7. Be sure to enter Kerr Elementary at registration. All proceeds directly fund classroom grants, teacher and student scholarships, Allen PTA programs and campus projects. |
