Jan. 16, 2020 | Register for the Allen Eagle Run The Allen Eagle Run will be held February 29 at Eagle Stadium! Register online for only $25 until midnight February 7. Be sure to enter Kerr Elementary at registration. All proceeds directly fund classroom grants, teacher and student scholarships, Allen PTA programs and campus projects. Start Your New Years Resolution with PTAResolve to volunteer in 2020! Volunteering is a fantastic way to share your talents and do good in the community. Kerr PTA is in immediate need of a few volunteers in key board positions. Ways and Means (3rd VP): Raise funds for our school by overseeing planning and execution of Fun Fest and Comet Craze! Hospitality: Welcome PTA members and guests by organizing refreshments and decorations for meetings and special events! School Supplies and T-Shirts: Organize the sale and distribution of school supplies and grade level t-shirts to our Kerr Comets! In addition to these needs, we are looking for volunteers to fill positions opening in the Fall of 2020. Publicity: Keep our Kerr Community in the know by publishing our weekly newsletter and maintaining the PTA's social media presence! Gifted & Talented Information MeetingThis year’s gifted/talented informational meeting is on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 6:30pm in the Lowery Freshman Center auditorium. Meeting attendance is open, so there is no need to register. Registration for phase 1 testing for students currently in grades 1-11 opens January 23, 2020 and closes February 13, 2020. Phase 1 testing takes place on Saturday, February 29, 2020. Visit the AISD Gifted & Talented page for more details. 7th Grade Cheerleader Information Meeting6th grade students interested in trying out for middle school cheerleading and their parents are invited to attend a mandatory information meeting.
