Comet Craze Wraps Tomorrow!
Comet Craze 2019 concludes tomorrow, October 4 with the
Comet Craze 1 Mile. Together we have raised over $40,000 for our school! Donations can still be made online through Tuesday, October 8. Login to your child's individual fundraising page to make your donation! Join us at Glendover park tomorrow morning at 8:15am to cheer on our Kerr Comets as they compete in the 3rd annual chip-timed fun run. Students should wear their grade level shirt or shirt of the same color.
For safety, only students, teachers, and staff are permitted past the gate at the finish line. Please note, the school parking lots will be closed off during the event.

Attention Kerr Artists
Unleash your creative potential by participating in Reflections! Reflections has been a staple arts program in schools for over 50 years. It offers students the opportunity to create works of art for fun and recognition. Entries are accepted in six categories:
literature,musical composition, photography,the visual arts,dance choreography and film production.
Submissions are due October 31 to Kerr office.
Project H.O.M.E. Enrollment Event
Project H.O.M.E. is a free service that collects information such as emergency contacts, basic health information and a photo to help first responders efficiently resolve encounters with people who have special needs.
Allen PD has partnered with Allen-based Dodd Law Offices for an
enrollment event October 15 from 7-9pm at the Allen Police Training Facility, 900 S. Greenville Ave. in Allen. Learn more about this event and ongoing enrollment for Project H.O.M.E. in the

Get Ready for ArtSparks 
Kerr PTA is proud to sponsor ArtSparks-an art appreciation, visual literacy program by the
Allen Arts Alliance. This unique program allows volunteers to
engage with students in the classroom and enrich learning by presenting four, 30 minute programs between November and April--leading students in discussion about art. Training is provided and at-home preparation is 30 minutes or less.

Medical City Children's Hospital's21 Day Healthy Snack Challenge begins October 7! Please, sign your child up to participate at kids-teaching-kids.com.

Spirit Night at Hat Creek Burger Company
Mark your calendars for October 23, it’s spirit night at Hat Creek Burger Company from 5-9pm! Place your receipt in the bucket for Kerr Elementary and 10% of sales will go back to the school!
Box Tops Fall Challenge
From now through October 25th the class in each grade level with the highest Box Top submission will earn exclusive bragging rights, an amazing trophy to decorate their classroom, and an EXTRA RECESS!
Scan your receipts with the Box Tops app, put your teacher's name under "Give Credit" AND send in clipped Box Tops to your teacher for double credit!
