What an absolutely amazing start we have had to the 2022-2023 school year!  Since we have so many new families I wanted to share a little bit about me!

I am honored to be the Principal of Kerr Elementary in Allen, Texas. I have been in education for 26 years, and I still believe that this is the best profession in the world!

It is my goal to ensure all students feel safe and that they find value in their academic journey. Each student's emotional well-being is extremely important to the teachers and staff of Kerr Elementary. Our mission is to work together to create a nurturing, safe environment that promotes the education of the whole child.

We embrace diversity, model mutual respect, and meet individual needs, so every child can learn.

A little about me: I have been married for 24 years to Nathan. We have two amazing young adult children. Nate (21) and Zoe (19). My faith and family keep me grounded!

Allen ISD looks forward to welcoming all students back to school for the 2022-2023 school year. The district will continue to monitor the guidance of local, county, and state health agencies to ensure we find an appropriate balance of health and safety procedures that afford us the opportunity to also ensure high levels of student learning. Allen ISD’s health and safety protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19 for the 2022-2023 school year are  located on the district website. These protocols are subject to change based upon additional Texas Education Agency guidance.  

Kerr needs a crossing guard at the intersection of Glendover/Twin Creek. If you are interested in being a crossing guard please let us know. The intersection will not have coverage until we can get a crossing guard hired.

Although this meeting is open to all volunteers wanting to know more, we will primarily focus on the roles of Room Parents!
